Tips: Can I use a simon Gift card to buy PS3 network credit online?

Can I use a simon Gift card to buy PS3 network credit online?I have a prepad Simon gift card that is excepted anywhere visa is so it should work to let me buy stiff at the Playstation store, but so far I cant get it excepted.

I know they will take Visa gift cards, but I don't think it will take whatever you have.
