video on ps3 without converting (possible?)?I was wondering if u can watch video on ps3 without converting,cause I bought psp so I can watch movies on the way, but I must convert every movie before transfer it to psp, i heared about the ""ps3 video 9 (converter)"" but if I don't convert the video will the ps3 play the movie independently the format for example , .AVI,MPEG4, .MKV, WMV ............... and also video size

The PS3 supports a number of video formats. You can check your manual or Sony's website for more details. So long as the file in question is in one of those formats (eg. Divx) then it'll play without needing to be converted.
The reason you have to convert the videos for the PSP is because of it's small screen resolution. You CAN put a video file on the PSP that has a larger resolution, but it's a waste of space as that extra resolution won't get you anything. After all, why waste 2GB on a DVD quality video file when it won't look any better than one that's been down scaled to the PSP's screen and only takes up a few hundred megabytes? The PSP also supports fewer formats than the PS3, or your PC for that matter, which the PSP converter will handle for you if you wanted to put a video in an otherwise incompatible format on your PSP. Finally, the converter also makes it easy for you upload files to your PSP, since they have to put in a specifically named folder and such.
