What console would be better a PS3 or Xbox 360?I have been thinking of getting a console but cant decide. I want the Xbox but i just don't want to pay $ 300 for it and then after a month it gets the red ring. The PS3 is ok is just that i don't like the slim edition but $ 700 to get the old 80GB is too much!!! please help me decide on what is better... Oh and by the way i do play most of the time on any console i have...

Theres a new type of xbox that hit markets and it wont have this RROD in fact rrod has pretty much died out within the xbox community so your safe inless you bounce it off the floor anywayz

My old PS3 lasted me 3 years before it YLOD. I fixed it and it happened again a month later. I loved the PS3 but I'm not sure for the Xbox.

As of right now PS3 is a quieter, more reliable system, that cost more at first, but is lacking some of the great 360 only games and online user community. But due to it reliability and complexity will last longer and save you money in the long haul.

i would say the xbox and if you buy it new you get a 1yr manufacturer warranty and you can buy a additional warranty at some stores.the only draw back is you pay for live were as ps3 its free but with such a difference in price you can buy a yr live for like 60 so i say xbox plus the xbox came out with there slim version.

Well, it depends on what you like. I've had my 360 almost a year and i havent had the red ring. And plus, you have to remember you have to pay for xbox live if you want to use a lot of the features. And thats actually going up in price. PS3 on the other hand is free to play online and has some great games like LittleBigPlanet, God of War 3, and tons others. Its also has a web browser and bluray player. And where are you looking that an 80 gig cost 700 bucks? But alot of the system choosing is on you based on preference. Also, you should ask friends and see what they have if your into online gaming. Playing with friends online always makes the console more fun.

omfg ps3 the best. ps3 blu ray xbox not ps3 wireless internet xbox not. ps3 smaller controller xbox a little bigger also r1 and r2 and l1 and l2 are switched. and i cant imagine how many noobs play mw2 on xbox ps3 is even bad.

I've owned both and liked the Xbox 360 better. It has better graphics and games. It depends on your taste of games. If you like sci-fi and gory games i would get Xbox because of Halo (sci-fi) and Gears of War( INSANELY GOREY) both are only available on Xbox. If you like Platform games ( Super Mario) go for PS3 it has little big planet (only on PS3).
