Can I play PS3 on my laptop screen by connecting it using an HDMI to DVI cable with a DVI to VGA adapter?I would plug this HDMI to VGA cable in my computer and for the sound use that standard component cables of the PS3, I would put the two audio one in a coupler which i could put into my laptop too.
Would this work?
If yes, how do i get the laptop to display the PS3 image instead of the PC?
If not, how can I do it? Using a cheap capture card?

All inputs on your laptop are OUTPUTS, not INPUTS.
Because of this, you can not use the laptop as a monitor.
You can modify the laptop to use it as a monitor, but the cost to do that is more expensive than just going out and buying a PC monitor.
