on the PS3 controllers? i need a cable that has that end on both ends (not the USB on the other end like what comes w/ the controllers and stuff to hook to your ps3)
i dont know what type of cable it is or what that end is called (like the other is USB)
any help for an idiot would be much appreciated

I want to say that its a USB to mini-B plug, the mini-B plug is the one that goes into the controller.

If you look really closely above the connection plug spot, you see that little picture in white? With the branching cables? That's the sign for USB. The plug right there is a USB mini plug. B sounds right.
You can charge it up using a charger for any cell phone that uses that same plug (motorola RAZR, etc.)
My friend did it with his controllers and it worked fine.
