Should I get the PS3 or Xbox 360?So, basically, which one should I get?
Top selling points for me:
Xbox: All of my friends have it, better LIVE.
PS3: More my style of games (RPG's, action, family. I hate shooters), Blu-Ray, seems to be better of a media center (I'm not much of a gamer)
So, which one should I get? Is playing with your friends worth it? About 90% of my friends own the 360, so should I get it bc of that? They both seem like great systems...
Thanks.

If you're not a gamer, I wouldn't suggest buying such an expensive system. They are both wonderful systems as you've pointed out, and they're fairly even when you compare pros and cons. If the online play is worth that much to you, go for the 360. Otherwise, I'd say a PS3.

360. playing on Live with friends is great fun. I have my 360 linked to my computer, and I can stream movies to my television, which makes it somewhat of a media center. (Movies without hard-subbed subtitles don't work though, sigh)

You'd have to think of which you'd prefer: the ability to game with more friends, or a system that would work better as a media device.
Seeing as how you've said that you're not much of a gamer, and that the PS3's library has more of what you normally play, and the fact that the PS3, in my opinion, is better as the backbone of an entertainment center than the 360, I'd say go with the PS3.

If 90% of your friends are on 360, then that's clearly the way to go. Unless you don't ever intend to play online, in which case go for the machine that has the games you want. Simple as that.

I personally have a Xbox 360 because of the LIVE which is a big pro for me, but i had to leave my PS2 behind with the RPG's. Final Fantasy XIII is coming out next week though, on both PS3 and 360 so that will give a lot of RPG playing time, in the end it's up to what you prefer.

hello. i think that you should get the playstation 3, because of the amount of processing power it uses. also, with the ps3, you could have the best of both by using a hardware emulator, so you can download and play xbox 360 games on your ps3. here is an excerpt:
"The second type of emulator is the hardware emulator. As what the name suggests, this is a hardware device that is designed to operate on multi platform device. For example, if your consol is PlayStation 3, you will be able to play Xbox 360 games on your PlayStation 3 by hooking it up with the hardware emulator. You can also plug in the hardware emulator on your PC in order for you to play Xbox 360 games right in your personal computer."
the website i got this off is:
