PS3 wireless connection help?I just bought a ps3 and want to connect online to play games, but I'm having issues. My password protected internet won't connect to the ps3, yet when I tried my neighbors, theirs worked fine. This is what I did:
Internet connection settings
Wireless
Scan
Rene (our connection with 100% connectivity) [our neighbor was Belkin54g with about 50%]
SSID: Rene
WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK
WPA Key ******** (I know this is the right password)
IP address - Automatic
DHCP host - Do not set
DNS - Auto
MTU - Auto
Proxy server - Do not use
uPnP - enable
Then the test connection shows up and it says...
"Connecting to access point, exchanging key information"
and after a minute or two it says
"Obtain IP Address failed and it timed out. The WPA key may be incorrect"
I really need to figure this out because the whole reason I got a ps3 was to play online.
P.S. I have Media Stream disabled

buy a fucking xbox, not the new ones though, I've have and elite for 6 years nothing wrong with it! better systems, GET AN ELITE

My uPnP is disabled and if that doesn't work then maybe your router is not fully compatible with the PS3. I know Belkin routers are compatible with the PS3 and there are few that are not.
