You're talking about software updates, right? I've only had 3 since I bought my slim, and there have been about 30 since the release of the ps3. So not that often, only when they need to.

well the weekly update come every tuesday not thursday they changed it ,that's when new stuff comes to playstation store. but there are like 4-6 updates yearly. so every 3 months or so just when ever new need to improve things or make things compatible likw 3D or ps move
